Categories Over the years the categories have evolved to include four categories with gold and silver levels and one category which showcases how the entry simply "wowed" the judges. This year, CATE also features a Best Practices in the Workplace award. All entrants must choose which category they would like to be judged in, so be sure to read the descriptions below and contact us if you have further questions.
Best Practices in Workplace Learning CSTD's top honour, the Best Practices in Workplace Learning award recognizes programs that meet the standards of excellence set forth in the Canadian Awards for Training Excellence. In addition, they demonstrate how their training program links to established research. Individuals and organizations who want to be considered for this award must apply for the Canadian Awards for Training Excellence in the Best Practices category. In addition to the standard CATE criteria, submissions are judged on factors related to use of research.
