Process & Timeline

The Canadian Awards for Training Excellence are given based on merit of submission, not in comparison with other submissions. While there can be more than one winner in a category, there can also be no winners in a category depending on the level of entries for the given year. 

 

Timeline

April

  • Informational Webinar held for submitters

May

  • Awards submission deadline is May 26th, 2010

July

  • Winners & Non-Winners Notified

August

  • Feedback Reports Received
  • Winners to complete three step process, first submitting mission statement and program summary.
  • Second, Winners are to submit logos, and presentation slides.
  • Third, Winners are to submit names to appear on awarded plaques, payment is to be made for any additional plaques. Those who receive a plaque, will have their name appear in the dinner booklet.

November

  • President's Dinner, November 18th, 2010
     
Judging Process
  • Review packaging
  • Review submission summary thoroughly
  • Assess program to check for consistency with summary
  • Find evidence that shows criteria are met
  • Discuss findings with other judges
  • Reach consensus to either award, provide an honourable mention, or decline the entry
  • Provide feedback report

 

Award Decisions

• no winners in a category
