CSTD recognizes that these programs address the competency areas for the learning and development professional as outlined in the Competencies for Training and Development Professionals©.
Students enrolled in these programs are eligible for student membership with CSTD and graduates are given a credit of one year towards the work experience requirement of the certification, Certified Training and Development ProfessionalTM (CTDP).

, we can work with you to officially recognize your program. Completing a Recognized Program can give your students a competitive edge when preparing for their CTP or CTDP certifications.
Follow the steps below to have your Adult Learning program recognized.
- Check off the contributing competencies that are covered for each course/program.
- Attach your course descriptions.
- Mail complete forms to the CSTD Head Office to the attention of the Certification Department.
Once your forms have been reviewed and approved you will receive a statement to promote the program status.
