CSTD recognizes that these programs address the competency areas for the learning and development professional as outlined in the Competencies for Training and Development Professionals©. Students enrolled in these programs are eligible for student membership with CSTD and graduates are given a credit of one year towards the work experience requirement of the Certified Training and Development ProfessionalTM (CTDP). Are you a community college or university hoping to have your program of study recognized by CSTD? If it addresses one or more of the competencies outlined in
Competencies for Training and Development Professionals©, we can work with you to officially recognize your program. Completing a Recognized Program can give your students a competitive edge when preparing for their CTP or CTDP certifications.
Follow the steps below to have your Adult Learning program recognized.
- Check off the contributing competencies that are covered for each course/program.
- Attach your course descriptions.
- Mail complete forms to the CSTD Head Office to the attention of the Certification Department.
Once your forms have been reviewed and approved you will receive a statement to promote the program status.
